NEW SPIN OFF

We are very excited to WELCOME you to the home of the Web Site Spinners, Inc..    Web Site Spinners designs, creates, promotes and updates web sites for every type of organization and business. Our team is constantly researching new techniques to increase the traffic to our customers websites.  We are also developing new ways to make each site more unique.

So you want a
faster internet connection?

If you are like most of the rest of us you want to get the fastest internet connection possible at the lowest rate possible, The two main choices at this time are DSL lines through your phone company and cable modems from, of course, your cable provider.  Both offer a great deal of speed at reasonable prices, but both have drawbacks.

Cable modems offer the greatest starting bandwidth but because they share bandwidth as more and more people in your neighborhood are connected your connection speed will decrease.

DSL lines are limited to providing service only within 14,000 feet of a phone station, which excludes many suburbs and developments.  In addition DSL connections are also reported to be harder to install and more subject to disruption of service.

Which should you get?  Check with your providers for both services, compare rates and availability, you may have only one option, but even then you will still be surfing faster than you were before.

Happy surfing!

Protocol: Identifies the Internet standard used to send information between the server and your computer.

Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP): A communications protocol developed by the U.S. Department of Defense for electronic information exchange over a network..

IP Address: A four-part, numeric identifier for computers and devices on a TCP/IP network.  Each of the four parts are numbers from 0 to 255 separated by a period.  For example, 21.254.0.11.  Before the World Wide Web to connect to a page you have to type in the IP Address.  You can still type the IP address should you choose. (NOT!)

Uniform Resource Locator (URL): A web address used to display a specific Web page.

Domain Name System (DNS): An Internet service that translates domain names into IP addresses.  Every Web server requires a Domain Name Server to convert URLs or domain names to IP Addresses.

Our Newsletter will be updated each month. Our goal is to aid you in this great web world.  If you should have any suggestions as to topics you would like to see covered please send us a  line at webmaster@websitespinners.com.
